It was a man, just over my right shoulder. At first I tried to just ignore him.
Om.. Om.. Om...
I was after all downtown at The busy 3rd & Pike Starbucks.. Between busses, yet wanting to ground out with a ritual that i enjoy..
As the man took his place beside me at the cart, Now silent,
i was still uncertain as to how to take him? Was he being silly and slightly cynical in mocking the ritual like routine of the situation? Like bowing down before the addiction? Was he truly with reverence? Was he "crazy"?
As he was taking the lid off his cup. Putting in the milk.. I couldn't help but get his attention to ask him if he knew of the inherent symbolism of The great Goddess tradition to be found in their symbol? Gesturing toward my cup, i looked up and saw him nodding emphatically! Maybe even wildly?
I was smiling widely now, because i have long recognized the brilliance
and the many symbolic elements of The Goddess in the Starbucks logo. It of course contains a spectrum of the Goddess tradition in terms of both history and culture. With the preeminent figure(s) being Isis then Venus/Lucifer. From the crescent moon arching over, to the pentagram to the emerald green color..
I most often have related to it from a kabbalistic viewpoint because of the multicultural potential inherent in the Tree of Life. I always take a moment offering my silent reverence and spilling some for Goddess.
As i arrived back at my table, looking at my gadget i saw that this interaction took place precisely at 11:11! HAPPY FULL MOON! (in Virgo)
