The profoundly mundane moment

I stood there, just about to tear open my two packets of sugar and i began hearing Om.. Om.. Om..
It was a man, just over my right shoulder. At first I tried to just ignore him.
Om.. Om.. Om...
I was after all downtown at The busy 3rd & Pike Starbucks.. Between busses, yet wanting to ground out with a ritual that i enjoy..
As the man took his place beside me at the cart, Now silent,
i was still uncertain as to how to take him? Was he being silly and slightly cynical in mocking the ritual like routine of the situation? Like bowing down before the addiction? Was he truly with reverence? Was he "crazy"?
As he was taking the lid off his cup. Putting in the milk.. I couldn't help but get his attention to ask him if he knew of the inherent symbolism of The great Goddess tradition to be found in their symbol? Gesturing toward my cup, i looked up and saw him nodding emphatically! Maybe even wildly?
I was smiling widely now, because i have long recognized the brilliance
and the many symbolic elements of The Goddess in the Starbucks logo. It of course contains a spectrum of the Goddess tradition in terms of both history and culture. With the preeminent figure(s) being Isis then Venus/Lucifer. From the crescent moon arching over, to the pentagram to the emerald green color..
I most often have related to it from a kabbalistic viewpoint because of the multicultural potential inherent in the Tree of Life. I always take a moment offering my silent reverence and spilling some for Goddess.
As i arrived back at my table, looking at my gadget i saw that this interaction took place precisely at 11:11! HAPPY FULL MOON! (in Virgo)

Culture, milieu..the tropical zodiac

Simply stated, our very culture..

(Etymology From Latin cultūra (“cultivation; culture”), from cultus, perfect passive participle of colō (“till, cultivate, worship”) (related to colōnus and colōnia), from earlier *quelō, from Proto-Indo-European *kel-(“to move; to turn (around)”

It's deepest language of archetypes is fully rooted in the dual system we call astrology. (The duality being a combination of the tropical & sidereal zodiac) or the cosmic and the mundane really. Of course mundane astrology is really the study of collective political.. of course none of this is separate.. politics from anything. The self, large and small. The cosmic to the seasonal spiral forward.. astride all of our polarities.. it is prior to belief.
Astrology is not a God which requires our belief. It is kind of like one fish asking of another fish, if they believe in this thing called water..??
I will continue adding to this post more examples of how "astrology" is all around and up in it.

Of course in this image/label (below), the "zodiac" is divided up into too many polarities.. 8. Or what would be considered 16 houses. The natural zodiac is made up of 6 polarities or 12 archetypes/houses/signs..

Regardless, it begins with the 4. Otherwise known as the equal arm cross. One of the most fundamental symbols on earth. Or really OF Earth really.. AS Earth.. the cross of matter becoming..the wheel.. in the Tropical zodiac, to which our human Earth bound cults of belief/religeons largely refer, this cross is found in/tied to the seasons. The reasons for the seasons. And the seasons for the reasons as it were..

Let us look at the definition of CULTURE one again.. "to till/cultivate as we/it turns circles" (spirals really, as we will never return to the exact same place twice)...

"The term zodiac derives from Latin zōdiacus, which in its turn comes from the Greek ζδιακς κύκλος (zōdiakos kuklos), meaning "circle of animals"

With this..the animals and seasons of the zodiac turning, we cultivate the self-same soul or center that is everywHERE. Well, really this self-same soul center is already. What we are really cultivating and refining is the "animals"/ representations and signs of our becoming. The evolution of our parts. The qualities and motivations of beingness.

Life as a Twin FLame

Early one morning, Jeremy accompanied me on part of my bus journey to work.  I got to the point in my travels when I needed to take a taxi up the super-steep hill to make it on time, so I found a cab.  Jeremy and I kissed and said our goodbyes before I got in. The driver asked me where I was going and I told him "To the top of the hill", gesturing behind me.  "That's IT?" He exclaimed. " I thought you were going on a long trip the way you were kissing each other! "  I laughed and said sheepishly, "Well, I'm not going to see him until tonight..."  Now that we've found each other, parting is hard! :)

Welcome to Root.Star.Self.Symbiosis!

We are Jeremy Wood and Kelley Greene, and like many, we have been on our spiritual paths for years, exploring and examining things that intrigue us.  Seeking to learn, to refresh what we have always known.. And like a good Gemini (Jeremy) and Gemini rising (Kelley), we like a variety! :)  So, this blog is about interesting things we have discovered. Astrology, Tarot, Goddesses, Art, etc. Our thoughts, our explorations.  We know that there is no end to learning, and we like that!

Our name/title, which we took great thought in deciding, refers to the wide scope of life, from everything under the sky, from our inner being to cohesion with others.
We are madly in Love, having found each other again after many trials and tribulations!  We are also parents. So we will be sharing about these things as well, as it is all spiritual in the end!  We hope you will enjoy!

               Blessings!  Kelley and Jeremy
